I have made a few knives into toothpicks trying to sharpen them. The toothpicks weren't even sharp. lol

When I was a kid there was an Amish man that came around with a tricycle cart with a stone wheel to sharpen knives. You don't see that anymore.

The last local gun show there was a family there that made switch blade knives. Very high quality. $65. I should have bought one.

Makes me want to run right out and buy another Case-. I've got maybe a dozen Case Knifes and I don't know how many I've lost over the years. There just isn't a better made knife in their price range IMHO. Any store that has a Case display and I stand there for a good 20 minutes telling myself I don't really need another one. Sometimes I'm successful.

You can't have too many good pocketknives. Working knives are among my favorite tools. Don't neglect them but I use em up over time.

I have had pocket knife in my britches since I got one for my birthday when I was 6.


I'm retired, live in town, and used the knife today open a box my wife brought home.

What's in your pocket? I feel incomplete without it. Many times I had to leave my knife in the bush outside of my county offices when I would go see my building code guy because the courthouse was located in the same building and I had t o go through security. Glad it was there when I returned.

Until I was old enough to decline jury duty, one of the reasons why I hated it was having to go knifeless in the courthouse and to and from my car. The courthouse food was also pretty bad.

At one time, we could carry a knife with blade of four inches or less, which was quite reasonable. Then the rules changed and you couldn't even have a little Victorinox Classic! As bad as the airlines! I used to enjoy flying. Now, I avoid it.

I have just two Case knives, a medium stockman and a Copperlock, both with red bone handles. Quality is excellent. But I usually carry a Swiss Army knife, for the added tools.

Being a maker of things large and small.........I like a good pocket knife.

I've carried a pocket knife for, all my life it seems.

Many Case brand knives have pass through my hands.
They were used to cut, carve and butcher, always the faithful companion.

For the last couple of decade or so, I've carried a local brand. Moore Maker, Matador, TX.

That is a good video, I just looked through my bunch of knives and realize I don't seem to have any Case, I'm sure I have had some in the past probably lost them, I'll have to remedy that.

PS, just after I posted that I remembered where one was hiding. So, I do have one, it was a 1966 High School graduation present.

I got my first knife for my 13th birthday from my older brother. He couldn't stand to see me knifeless any longer. I would say my parents were clueless, except dad carried a pocket knife everyday!

My first knife was a Case XX, with 2 blades and no locks! When I got married as a gift for all my groomsmen, I bought the Buck folders with sterling silver furniture, The one for my Brother, had hand engraved horse scenes [the others just had junkie old scroll engraving ]
