Here is a picture of a set of Keith Brown grips that I had made for my first Registered Magnum. I bought the gun at the Tulsa show a few years ago and it sported a set of original Roper's. When I lettered the gun, it lettered as shipping with service stocks and a grip adapter. Well, as luck would have it, I found an original adapter for sale, and picked it up for $75. I also had a ratty pair of Brazilian grips with nice medallions, so I shipped them off to Keith, and this is the result. As usual, Keith did an excellent job. Now the gun is in the original configuration. Now I have to figure out what to do with the Roper's.

You got an original grip adapter for $75, great deal! I think the repos go for twice that! Great grips too, I have never seen anything Keith Brown ever did that was substandard... Good looking RM as well!

Nice gun, grips and adapter.
Sounds like incredibly fast service on the grips, too.

It is a later rear sight, probably from a Model 27. I'd love to locate a correct rear sight if anyone has one.

The grips are new using the medallions out of the ratty Brazilian grips

Gary,
I think Keith's grips are just great and when you add the medallions they are better than any factory made grips for color and figure!

Except for grips numbered to the original gun, his grips are an upgrade to any gun they are on!
The RM is very nice too! Nice package! Thanks for posting.
Merry Christmas!

Thanks for the Christmas wishes Bill and a Merry Christmas to you and all. I think I bought this one, my first RM, in Tulsa 3 years ago. It was just kinda neat coming up with the original adapter, that's what gave me the idea put the original style grips and the adapter on it. If you remember, I saw a 2nd Model 44 HE listed on Gunsamerica last summer and it had the adapter on it. They were asking $1500 for the gun. I asked if they would sell the adapter separately and they said they would for $75, a quick phone call and a VISA card had the adapter to me in 4 days. I was tickled pink to see it was an original adapter and not a repro. As Paul Harvey says. "And that's the rest of the story." If anyone has a correct rear sight for sale please contact me.

Gary,
If you don't find one by Tulsa time, I can take you to a table where you might find one.

It's a deal Bill. I may even treat you to a cup of coffee, kinda like a finder's fee.
