Go to their web page and enter your serial number. It tells you where to find it on the left side of the stock 'tube'. Mine had no problem.

Some third party vendor sold them barrels that can burst. They will make it good.

Kel Tec will indeed make it good. I know some may bash the brand but not me. I was born and raised a half hour away from their plant in Cocoa Florida. I have 3 of their firearms . 9mm flawless 10 years old. .380, thousands threw it very good. And a .32. The day I bought the .32 had a magazine lock issuse. Was told by L G S take to plant. Hit plant latter in day 4:00 ish. Hit door bell tech comes to door takes firearm tells me to have a seat in lounge. Comes back 30 minutes latter gives me a heat felt appolagy firearem fixed with up dated trigger and he states he ran 250 flawless rounds threw it down range. He explined when a customer comes to plant with a problem its fixed then and their. .32 has thousands threw not another issue.

Sure thing.......

It was only a small run in 1917, but better safe than sorry.

I had a problem with an old P11 I acquired and had that reassembly problem where the spring would jump the track. Called them, they said to send it and it came back quick all fixed. :D

They may not be Korth, but they have a great business model and are doing well with it.

I REALLY like me sub 2000. I shoot better with short carbines than anything.

They are using a popup and redirect that does NOT work with older browsers / XP.

I sat here an hour trying to find any reference, and nothing. Finally I moved to a computer that I don't use for this sort of thing, and it popped immediately.

Mine is not on the list.

For those using older browsers, here's the link:
Kel-Tec Recall Verification

From that page:
IMPORTANT SUB-2000 SAFETY RECALL NOTICE

We have recently identified an issue with the heat treatment of certain steel tubes received from a third‐party supplier from which the barrels for a limited number of Kel‐Tec SUB‐2000 rifles were manufactured. This could potentially cause the barrel to rupture when a cartridge is fired and could result in serious personal injury. The safety of our customers is our primary concern, so Kel‐Tec has voluntarily initiated this recall because of the possibility of a barrel rupturing.
This recall only affects a portion of SUB‐2000s that were manufactured in 2017.
All costs associated with the recall of your firearm shall be covered by Kel‐Tec.
To check if your firearm would need to be sent in for barrel replacement enter your serial number into the provided field below. Refer to the image at the bottom of this page to help locate your serial number. In addition, if you would like to view a list of all affected serial numbers, Click Here

Thank you for posting this. Mine is a part of the recall and I have a shipping label on the way. Not worried about it as I’m sure Kel Tec will take care of everything just fine.

Update: Rifle Returned

In case anyone cares i received my rifle back from Kel Tec along with a Promag 10 Round Mag (I have a S&W version). It functions perfectly and looks great. I sent mine to Kel Tec on 5/7 and received it back from them on 6/26.
