Kentucky Derby 150

[The Big D]

Had the good fortune to attend the 150th running of the Kentucky Derby. What a fabulous event…truly.

Some observations: Everyone was soooo friendly, all services were terrific (where else are you handed a freshly made Mint Julep IMMEDIATELY past security checkpoint), downtown bars were fun, hotel was pricey but convenient, and weather was fabulous despite the forecast.

This was my first Derby…def will attend again. If you ever get a chance to go…GO!

I would have liked to have been there with you especially knowing what fashion plates we both are.

I'd never really sat and watched the actual KY Derby before and really enjoyed watching it. I'd imagine it was a blast to actually attend. Literally, "by a nose…"

Have been to Churchill Downs but not for the Derby. A great time for one and all! I have a family history of folks very into horse racing although my personal exposure has been minimal.

Great race, love watching the ponies rip down the stretch!

Simple: It's called shoe stagger. You use thicker horseshoes on the right legs. Is it legal? Ask Bob Baffert.
