They look big enough to leash and walk like a dog!

In Texas, some folks sort of consider them as wild pets.
I sat on one wearing those 70's style gym shorts, stung me in the groin then again on my hand when I smashed the big bug while at Camp Sawyer with the boy scouts. One of the dad's took me to Fisherman's Hosp. in Marathon and I was grateful he did. The cute nurse with the ice pack and aspirin made this 13 y.o.'s day even with her cold hands.we get them big black ones down here in the Florida keys getting stung burns real bad
2/13/25;
Just watched a Nevada Outdoors show about them in the Vegas area
where one F&Game guy went out with a guy for wild Nevada and they
searched at night for them with "Black lights".
They "Glow" a light green under the light and a female shows up more than the males.
They have one "New type" that has not been named, as yet and they seem rather small.
The person was actually handeling them and picking them up by the stinger, so the new guy, could touch and feel them.
At the end of the show, the guy actually had a female on his hand and finger, free to move and it did not try to sting him.
He stated that in the day time, this new "Find" was yellow in color and will be named soon.
I thinking that a 6" "BUG" might have acted a little differently ?
