Killed the my first scorpion of 2025

we get them big black ones down here in the Florida keys getting stung burns real bad, usually have to put that area on ice to stop the pain for a couple hours. if u leave shoes at the front door because they are to dirty to wear in the house , you learn to clap the, together to see if any fall out, you learn that the hard way. they were real bad when i lived on the ground floor next to an empty lot. when it would rain a lot they would come to my house and seek high ground,

I sat on one wearing those 70's style gym shorts, stung me in the groin then again on my hand when I smashed the big bug while at Camp Sawyer with the boy scouts. One of the dad's took me to Fisherman's Hosp. in Marathon and I was grateful he did. The cute nurse with the ice pack and aspirin made this 13 y.o.'s day even with her cold hands.

Just watched a Nevada Outdoors show about them in the Vegas area
where one F&Game guy went out with a guy for wild Nevada and they
searched at night for them with "Black lights".

They "Glow" a light green under the light and a female shows up more than the males.
They have one "New type" that has not been named, as yet and they seem rather small.
The person was actually handeling them and picking them up by the stinger, so the new guy, could touch and feel them.
At the end of the show, the guy actually had a female on his hand and finger, free to move and it did not try to sting him.
He stated that in the day time, this new "Find" was yellow in color and will be named soon.

I thinking that a 6" "BUG" might have acted a little differently ?

From what I've observed, that wouldn't go so well with the imported Arizona Bark Scorpion. They are as docile as a bucket of rabid wolverines. The only bug I've seen that is more aggressive is the larger Sun Spider/Windscorpion/Solfugid species, but at least they are not venomous.
