Four Killeen Police officers were shot while executing a search warrant on Friday. Two of them were hospitalized with wounds that required surgery. The other two officers were shot but all the rounds struck body armor and they were treated and released. The two wounded officers were transported to the hospital and underwent surgery. One of them was listed in good condition while the other was critical after surgery. His condition deteriorated and I lost a friend when he passed away today around 2pm.

I worked with all of the officers that were involved in this shooting and can say they are all great cops! I'm asking for your prayers for the family and friends of Detective Charles "Chuck" Dinwiddie during this trying time. Chuck was an 18-year veteran of the Killeen Police Department and is the second officer that KPD has lost in the line of duty during the past 10 months.

Prayers outbound for his family; for you his friend; and for police officers everywhere, but especially the Killeen force who lost a good cop.

Prayers for you on the loss of your friend. Prayers for his family & all affected. And God Speed, Charles.

My deepest sympathy for the family, friends, and fellow officers who worked alongside Det. Dinwiddie. He made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. May he rest in peace, and live long in the hearts of those he left behind.

Prayer offered for his family, friends, and those left behind to carry on the mission of keeping our cities and counties safe from those that threaten evil.

Rest in peace my brother in arms.

He will be in our thoughts.
His and all who do the job day to day are appreciated.
Condolences to his family.
