This is Kimber’s new alloy frame .38+P revolver. Sort of like an Airweight K6s. I really like the Kimber revolvers, have three, and waited a long time to see the lightweight version. Spoke with Kimber on Tuesday and understand that the K6xs will ship to distributors in July. I’ll be first in line if possible. Anyone else?

Will be good if they stick to the MSRP of $679.00 and not be $300-$500 over that due to dealers gouging the price on them because they are the latest and greatest thing and "hard to get." Colt comes to mind with their release of the 2020 Python at $1499.00 retail; was several months after the release before they got down to anywhere near the retail price. Hopefully, this won't happen with the Kimber. Looks like it would be a fine weapon.

Saw my first one in the wild yesterday, $619 at a reasonable LGS.
The roots are there, and I think the action would smooth-in nicely.
However, it's not 'quite' the buttery feeling of the all-steel ones.
I think the orange dot on the sight is 'meh', but at least it gives
something for the eye to pick-up and index.
I'd gladly pay more if they'd used the dovetailed
3-dots of the .357 series. I passed at this point,
wanting to wait for pricing to ebb.

If they're as good as the K6S then they're worth the wait.

I already have the K6S for .357/.38 and a Taurus 85 covering .38 so I'll enjoy all yours vicariously.
