I have always liked .22WMR. I was browsing Armslist amd a local dealer had one listed for sale (NIB) in Black. Price was reasonable ($400 OTD) so I bought it.

Took it to the range today, talk about loading it on Monday and shooting it until Sunday. Gun was pretty set for elevation but shooting 4-5" left for windage. I didn't have a small allen wrench to adjust the front site. So I just sent 100 rounds down range.

I only had Fiocchi and some Hornady V-Max to try. 100% reliable with the 40gr. Fiocchi and some issues with the 30gr. V-Max. I don't think the gun likes the extremely pointed bullets of the V-Max.

Plan is to clean it and return to range and get her sighted in with 40gr. and enjoy. Trigger is very nice for a low priced gun.

My wife and I have PMR30s. My usual carry when out and about on the tractor. She has hers for ground squirrels attacking the garden. I take mine when I ride my bicycle because it is light, reliable, and 30 .22 Magnums will solve about any problem I'm likely to encounter.

I continue to be really tempted by these, but haven't found one at quite the right price. My friend has one and loves it. His neighbor on the other hand has had nothing but problems - back to KelTec twice. Still on the fence, but for the right price...….

Prices now are a heck of a lot cheaper than about 2.5 yrs ago.
My only complaint is without the new Uplula loader; doing with your fingers is problematic if you're trying to get anywhere near 30 in the mag.

I love mine, shoots really tight groups, nice trigger and a lot of fun. I have heard that they can be picky about ammo but I had good luck with a brand and that is all I have used.

I'm not generally a KelTec fan but I've had a PMR-30 for a couple years now and agree with the previous comments as to weight, trigger, function, reliability. There can be an issue with the magazines, perhaps the older ones, which can cause failure to feed. Easy fix demonstrated on youtube videos if anyone has a problem with them. Great 22 magnum auto for the price.

That's the one pistol I have that most people have gone out and purchased after shooting mine. Loud and flamey

Thanks for the report .
30 rounds of 22 Magnum is , in my mind , being well armed .
I have always liked the guns looks ... sort of something like Mad Max (1979 Mel Gibson version) would carry .
I've never cared one whit for plastic guns but this one would be the exception...Awesomely Cool !!!

A friend who is a gunsmith has had multiples of them and really likes them. He keeps selling to someone who wants one and then gets another. They are ammo sensitive. We had a lady show up at one of our pistol classes with one. It was acting up. I lubed it, it was dry as a bone and switched the ammo out to CCI and it ran fine.

I bought one of these when they were first out back in 1980s. I don’t remember the price but it was less than $100. Might not have been Kel Tec at the time. It was anything but reliable and the few people I know that have them are always complaining about function. I had AMT 22mg auto that was dependable, accurate and loud.

One of the KT I do like, The trigger is very good almost excellent. I just never warmed up to 22 Mag, to expensive to shoot and I can reload 9mm for less then what they charge for 22 mag. All I would shoot is paper.

When they first came out, you couldn't find one to buy!

Mine is a constant companion when outside doing yard or tractor work. I wish the CCI 2 WMR shotshells had a bit more powder in them though, as they won't eject. My first round in the mag, and the chamber are shotshell, and I have to manually eject &chamber the second round for a Mr wiggly.

I recently picked up a 351PD that allows 7 rounds of the shotshells back to back. But I'm not giving g up my PMR 30. It's the ugliest gun I own, but I still love it.

Youre talking about a Grendal

Actually,,,,spelled Grendel.
What a gun designer!!
Love mine as a perfect concealed with enormous firepower. I have seen first hand the damage and killing power upon a human being.
The 22 MAG caliber puts one down quickly, and round capacity is also superb! A spare mag loaded with 30 more rounds is awesome.

Well I got the sights dialed in, at 15 yards it is hitting pretty much at POI. On this second range trip I fired only Fiocchi and some CCI Maxi-mags I bought (Walmart had little milk cartons of 125 rounds for $21). 100% reliable with both brands.

After the sight work it was time to shred some soda cans and stuff. Very fun gun to shoot.
