Korth revolver at the DSC Expo

I'll never get the vented barrel, it's unnecessary and hard to clean. However, they do make both frame sizes in the classic style too (no rails, vents etc). Choice is a good thing I guess.

The wings protecting the front sight can be removed on the "modern" versions, and there won't be ugly holes. Two small fitting side plates are attached using the same screws.

I couldn't have said it better,Here's mine.

I bought a Korth Mongoose with 9mm cylinder in 2021. It looks more convectional than the ones shown above, uses S&W K frame grips.

I like the classic, older Korths built when Willi Korth was still alive. They have an understated elegance, shoot great, yet are built like the proverbial tank.
The new ones look ridiculous and don't balance in the hand (as in "one hand"!) the way a nice revolver should.
Sometimes, just slapping a bunch of popular appealing gimmicks onto a product design without any thought to the overall outcome is not too smart.
Looking at the new Korth reminds me of the old episode of The Simpsons, where Homer Simpson designs a car for his long-lost brother's company, promptly putting them out of business!
(see attached) :)

Guys, I have to tell you, I think these guns look like a Chinese made CO2 revolver. I guess I'm too old school, but the looks of these things make me have nightmares. I'd much rather by a classy older S&W and put a few bucks into it for a tune and put the money I didn't spend on this monster, in my pocket. All it needs is a "plastic Jesus on the dash/Front sight". They cost so much because of all the tooling they wore out cutting metal away:D They didn't even take to the time to finish the grips!

Okay, I realize this is not a Korth but seeing as how weare showing real guns as well(Just kidding Gang) here is one I am just finishing up. Still have to make a front sight for it. I thought it was kinda cool on a round butt.

I had a S&W Registered Magnum in the box with all the proper paperwork. I never shot it, fear of hurting value, so I sold it.
I used the proceeds to purchase 2 Manurhin MR 73 and a Korth Mongoose. I shoot all 3 of them.

Please educate me as to why I would spend $4,000 on a Korth when I can buy a MOD 29 or 27 and get trigger job for $1,500.
I have collected S&W revolvers for 47 years and have never handled or shot a Korth.

I was a registered Korth owner at the old factory and was contacted by Andreas Weber, the new CEO of Korth, Lollar when they had just bought Korth. I know how to find and read a company's financial statement in Germany and Korth in Lollar was not doing better than Korth Ratzeburg, in other words they lost money, lots of it. I asked the CEO and he had told me that they had expected losses when they opened but decided to keep the traditional Korth name alive, they did so as gun enthusiasts.

Their year end filings have much improved since they have come up with their new line of guns and the .357 Mag Korths are no longer shot single handed only in DSB Sportpistole, where guns in .32 S&W L WC are a much better choice, but two handed in DSB Gebrauchsrevolver in .357 Magnum , or BDS & BDMP disciplines.

The cooperation with Nighthawk started later and is probably just a small side show in the greater scheme of business.

It is a purpose built weapon for a shooter, not some collector.

My feelings exactly !:p If I am buying a Korth or Manurhin, it would be the "classic" looks. :D
