I have done searches and not found an answer to my question.

I have an L-frame round butt and a K-frame round butt revolvers that the round butt grips are too small for my hands.

Does someone make a conversion round butt to square butt grip from wood that covers the round butt grip while making the grip the larger square butt size. I have a pair of Pachmyer rubber grips that are not the answer.

Am I chasing a unicorn?

Hogue Inc. makes round to square grips in rubber and wood. The wood ones are very nice looking and I have found the Hogue grip with the open back to be the most comfortable grip there is...for me. Multiple choices of wood, smooth, checkered and more. I actually have a new set of rubber Hogue conversions for sale. The wood ones look nice but you can't beat the rubber ones for price and function. The are all the one piece Monogrip.

Altamont grips are very good. They have a round to square that works great. Nice variety also.

I recently bought a round to square set from Altamont, before & after

^^ I'm a big fan of those Hogue finger groove grips also. I like mine done with cocobolo wood.

Eagle

Eagle Heritage grips are similar to the old S&W diamond target grips.

They are, however, pricey -- $200 or so if ordered from Eagle.

Sometimes can find 'em for sale on eBay cheaper.

Any square but stock can be adapted to fit a round butted revolver. It requires the addition of a small sliver of material to fill in the gap between the halves.

Ever since S&W went to all round butt frames, most all the main grip makers have started making round to square conversions. Just take your pick. ;)

I have sets from Altamont and Ahrends that fit the bill.

Altamont conversions on my 686, and Ahrends conversions in maple on my 66 (target) & 686 (combat)

These work well for me. Hogue conversions. Not a conversion, but these Herrett round butt work well also. Bob

I have the Altamont round-to-square reproduction coke-bottle target grips. I really like them.
