This is my 5 year old lab, Bella, with my 5 month old grandson, Jack. Bella mostly thinks the world is one big party and would like the whole world to play along, but she's turned out to be quite the mother figure too!

Nicely done. I told my old Basset Hound what you said and he howled with content. He wants you to know that he has met some nice labs along the way. Sarge is a 12 year old rescue that replaced my 11 year old female Basset that I had for almost 10 years. Sarge came to my family about two weeks ago and it was manditory that he bring his girlfried named Rosie. How did this happen that I ended up with two dogs from the basset rescue in Colorado? Dorie was an animal rescue find and I still cry when I see her little clay paw print from her cremation. Give your big ole boy a rub for me and know that Sarge and Rosie are quite proud of their heritage too.

And thanks for saving the dogs. My one and only lab, Babe, came off I-5 when I was still with the Patrol....she was running around lost, about 5 months old, probably dumped at a rest area. She was a great dog and she loved everyone. She wouldn't let me leave the house without her(if she was awake!). I had to sneak out to go to work!

Ill give you points for guts, you can pick on a guys gal, his gun or even his football team, but you start talking about the best dog and your asking for trouble. It's a credit to the good people on this site that the fir is not flying right now.

That said, never met a setter I did not like.
