If anybody is interested, when I was doing some Chronographing the other day I also Chronographed 10 rounds of each of the following from my M1 Carbine and here are the results:
Wolf .30 Carbine: 1870 fps (avg of 10 shots)
USGI Surplus Lake City Arsenal .30 carbine: 1980 fps (avg of 10 shots)
The published velocity as per the US Army out of the M1 carbine is 1990 fps and the 44 year old ammo I have was just about spot on where as the steel cased Wolf averaged about 120 fps slow. Now the Wolf ammo worked just fine even though is was a bit slower, and the steel cases are a little rougher on the extractor.
