This is the "big" 3 times a year show put on by the Lakeland Rifle and Pistol Club. Nobody dominates and if you are looking for something or a part of something, you can find it. Everybody was carrying something to sell and the place was packed (I was there from 9:30-1:30) with no sign of letup on the way out. They had 2 "gun check" tables at either entrance, the line at one end was 150 guys long and nobody on the hotel side. You'd think some of them would walk on over. Herd mentality I guess. I saw stuff I can't imagine what it does or fits into. As far as S&W's, there were quite a few. I saw at least half a dozen K22's for $600-$800. None were above 80-85%. A very nice 6" Model 57 for $550 but that would be adding another caliber to my needs. Another very nice 29-2 in either 6" or 6 1/2" with wood display case and nicely grained grips for $800. The walk in gun of the day was the 6" 686. I counted 5, all asking $550. With the same gun on more than one table for $499, I passed. I did miss a nice 2" M&P with diamond SB magnas for "$350 OBO." I didn't make an "OBO" right there and 10 mins later it was gone. Snooze you lose. Saw Sal and Dick Dimonback busy as ever, Sal naturally had "the usual" but I'll let him tell about it. I did have one major resentment and that was the lack of prices. I mean they must have had a meeting and voted to not price anything. If I asked, they got that "big fish on" look, and story to go with it. Also, there were only two decent ammo sellers and the one lady said "I'm getting wiped out!" I'm tired and didn't get more than a silicone cloth. I would have bought $20 more of the $5 "gunsmith screwdriver" sets but if my wife catches me she's calling the "rubber room" squad. Greatest bargain of the show, every time. I give 'em as gifts, everybody loves them, but I have a drawer full right now. Nice to see free enterprise going strong. Joe
