So I planned on an early start since the trip is considerably longer after moving out here. Actually it's probably 25 miles by air but about 65 by road. I pulled in around 10:30, not bad considering the deluge the whole way. Again $8 to park but since the front lot was empty, just about parked 1 space beyond the HCaps. $12 to get in. With the $20/gas I'm in deep already. I was toting the HS Sport King I bought a couple shows ago, trying to sell it for parts. No takers, but that was a good thing. Walked both rooms, lots of empty tables and at least half "non gun" tables. Called Dick (Dimonback68) but I didn't get his email until now,& Sal but he had already been and gone, I don't understand folks who get up early on the weekend. I'm up at 4:15 am Mon-Fri and even though I set the alarm, my subconscious made me not slide the "on" button. Some of the stuff was interesting but I was interested in guns. The new Model 66 (-9?) was $895 and I kind of liked it. There were assorted $4 digit guns, mostly Nframes of no special note. Our old buddy Fcat had a table in his usual spot and had some very nice revolvers. A blue 29-2 8 3/8 in perfect condition with display case and cardboard shipper addressed to a judge in KY was outstanding but starting at $1400 there is too much distance for me to pull my cash. Again, Shoot Straight (the Lakeland store which is a franchise-no Khalid around) had the bargains. Half a dozen Model 15's of various dash #'s and another half dozen 5906's for $299 take your pick. I had a hard time resisting, don't need another 15 so I dodged those but the 5906's. Trades and looking tired but I just bought 6 mags for $100; so tempting. There was also a "private sale" Model 15-3 4" nickel in 95% for $325 and that would be OTD. Every other S&W I saw, Model 10's starting at $550, 19''s for $695 and assorted N frames for $900 and up. That's Model 28's. I did see a 6" blue Model 19-3 from the mid 70's for $ 425 in about 90% condition but I just didn't need it. Ammo? except for .22lr there was plenty. CCI Mini Mags $ 20/ 100 box. Cardboard box of Win Super X $12/50. The Natchez E flier I got this morning has S&B 9mm for the same price. Yikes. A few observations: I enjoy time to myself, my wife had stuff planned with a friend so I was free. Time for "signs and wonders." Driving down a backroad to get to the interstate, I passed a "thrift shop" (a dump with junk in the yard and front porch for sale). Out by the road was a large plywood doghouse with "Hitler" spray painted over the opening. If'n it wasn't raining so hard I would have taken and posted a pic, priceless. I don't know which would be more exciting to meet; the dog or the owner. The average age of the attendee (excluding the few shapely silicone sisters) was about 93. If'n there were any more JazzyChairs they'd need traffic control. On the upside, when I got home I was taking the Sport King apart to photo the parts for sale. Before I got it all the way apart, something said (I hate the voices in my head most times) "spray some "Action Blaster" into it and after drying spray it liberally (using that word makes me a little giddy) with Break free. Lo and behold, the trigger ain't broke, just rusted bad. By the time I was done the trigger was resetting almost normally (worked every time but sluggish). Feels almost like I got a gun without spend anything other than the $40 on the show. Nobody home-nap time. Life is good. Joe

:confused::(WALL OF TEXT!!!!!

Sorry about that, I don't put any planning into the "report." Just type till I quit. Yes Dick, when I come alone there is less of the "treasure hunt" doc seems to be perpetually on. I called him Friday afternoon but short notice never works out. Probably down in the DR for the weekend. My wife just got back, she was glad I didn't spend the "gun fund." She had gone over to Melbourne and I saw a new ring, necklace and a pretty nice pair of earrings. I didn't ask and she didn't tell the $$$. Joe
