[lang=nl]Hello everybody, a Smith & Wesson fan form Holland.

Been a sports-shooter now for several years, althou our regulations of gunowning has very strict rules I decided to go for the permit when I left the army.
Been shooting in the army with an Israeli Uzi (9mm), Belgium FN Fall (7.62x51 mm NATO) and Diemaco (5.56x45 mm NATO)

When I got my civil permit I doubted between a Glock and S&W M&P as my first weapon and choose for the last one in 9 mm version.

In Holland we are allowed the first year 1 weapon on your permit and the 2nd year and further up to five

The disipline I shoot my games in is called Dynamic Service Rifle. Started there with a BushMaster XM-15, then switch to GSG-5 and now a very happy satisfied owner of a S&W M&P 15-22.

The Mrs now also has a permit and owns a Walther P22.

SmithieNL,

Hello, and welcome to the forum! It's great that your wife is also interested and an active shooter.

I'm glad to hear that the NL is one of the countries where you can still enjoy firearm ownership. Let's hope that the popularity of the shooting sports continues to grow.

I was fortunate enough to be able to visit your beautiful country several times while I was stationed in Germany. The people there were always charming and friendly!

Enjoy!

Tim

Hello from North Carolina again.
I spent some time in Sneek, a few years back, and it is a beautiful country.

Hello

Sneek up north and I live in the south near Maastricht maybe by some people here will know the place (AFCENT)

Our little country is doing good but still have warm feelings for along time everything from the states.

Played baseball, play country music (Garth Brooks and stuff, hopefully not offending somebody here) and still love the American kitchen althou I do not like Budweiser, Heineken, a fan here.

Last year went for my second visit to the States (Florida) and loved it very much. My wife and I want to visit the states back again next year.

We want to say thank you for all the nice people here who gave us a warm welcome here and hope to learn a lot on this forum.

Mr. and Mrs.. SmithieNL

Welcome from Texas SmithieNL. Great forum for all things S&W, have fun, learn lots, share what you know.

Always nice to have a new member of the S&W family check in from across the pond.

Welcome to the forum from the great state of Kentucky.

I believe you will enjoy your time here. A great bunch of folks.

Welkom from Colorado!
My wife also has a Walther P22. She loves it, but she really loves shooting my Smith&Wesson 686+ .357 Magnum!
My people came over from the Netherlands ages ago in an open boat. Settled in Michigan like many others.

Jeff
