lanyard hole?...in Smith 360J?..why and how to plug it

I used an arrow tip to make a lanyard ring mount for my 360j. I tried it first with the crazy point left on it. Then I decided I wanted to make another one that was a little more practical. I had to make a groove with a file in the tip and push the grip pin out to put it in. After installing it I hammered the pin in the groove to secure it. I also threaded the trimmed aluminum inside from my arrow with a little blue loctite to cover the threads. It is super tight and works good so far. All done with a drill, hacksaw, file, hammer, and punch.

i would have left the point on the field tip for skull checking

Whenever I removed the grips that little pin kept falling out , one day it fell out and I lost it in my bedroom. I never gave it a second thought. It's been "lost" for years now and hasn't caused any problems....

I lost a strut that went flying in my bedroom that's still missing. I have no idea which direction it went and didn't notice any clang. I'm convinced it went into another dimension.
