We adopted a 6-7 month old sweetheart and she really enjoys a good chewing. So I’m putting out a call for larger sized unused or unwanted antlers to sooth my pups teeth/gums.

Thanks!

+1 on no bones or antlers (synthetic or natural).

We gave nylabones and beef bones to our last Lab Katie and she suffered multiple broken teeth (including a K9) over her 14 years with us. Katie was a hunter. Her K9 got infected and we didn’t want it pulled because it can mess up their sense of smell, so we had root canal surgery done on her. The bill to do two teeth at the same time was about $1600.

Our current Lab Belle has never had a bone, so she doesn’t know what she’s missing. Her teeth are still excellent and she’s going on 9 years old.

I've been a practicing veterinarian since 1980 so I'm about as "old school" as they get. Reconsider those antlers we see a a lot of broken teeth from such as those. See:
Are Antlers Safe for Dogs?

Add rawhide chews to the list of banned chew toys. Ask yourself...would you chew up and swallow pieces of rawhide? And pig ears, especially those from China. Matter of fact, anything dog-related...chews, toys, whatever...that's made in China or has ingredients from China is not allowed in my house.

Wish I could double like this one! :)
