Now I know why my present was late. 
That was our Christmas card a few years ago.. still funny
I have said before that I would love to be locked in a saloon with Gary Larson, Bill Watterson, Scott Adams and Berkeley Breathed.

While it would be a hoot to tilt a few with any, or all, of the cartoonists mentioned above, the two I would have most loved to meet were Bill Mauldin and Charles M. Shulz...

I love the works of all the cartoonists mentioned above, but my life would not be complete if not for Gary Larson. Scott Adams is a close second.

Yeah, he did a whole write up of the Cow Tools fiasco in his book. The joke came out around the time when there was a lot of discussion about how “tool making” differentiated humans from other mammals - and then monkeys were determined to be using “tools” when they poked sticks into termite mounds. Gary figured if monkeys made tools, why not cows. (One of his favorite subjects in his cartoons, cows). What kind of tools might a cow make? He figured the mistake was making that thing that sorta looks like a hand saw. Lots of letters asking, “Cow Tools, what does it mean?”
