Has anyone tried the LaserLyte rear sight for their M&P yet ?
Any feedback ? I'm thinking of getting one for mine & they're quite a bit less than the Crimsontrace laser sight

Welcome to the forum steelerfan, from a cheesehead! I'm not familiar with the rear sight one, however the rail mounted laserlyte on my sigma works great. The price difference is quite substantial. Give one a try and let us Know what you think!

Laserlyte

I have a laserlyte on my M&P45c (with thumb safety). Works well and adds the extra sight I need with my old eyes.:D

I handled one on a Glock when I bought a G22, Cabelas had a sale on the Glocks with them on at the time. To me it seemed cheap and a not quick to turn on if I was to need it in a hurry. I bought the Glock with night sights instead.

I talked to a guy that had one on his Glock and he told me it wouldn't hold zero and I can see why, with the battering they take, mounted on the slide.

Thanks for the welcome.
No hard feelings here spricks, congrats on the win,I was disappointed at the Steelers level of play in the Super Bowl but 2 things:
1. I would've been cheering on the Packers if they weren't playing my Steelers
2.My son married a wonderful girl from there & lives out there now, although he's a big Eagles fan
If I get a rail mounted Laserlyte I'll be sure to let you know how I like it

Good point, they would take a battering there

I got one on my Glock model 22. Love it. I can consistently hit a group the size of a tennis ball in the center of my target at 30 ft. It took a little while to zero but after that, it is great. I had to put a small touch of "Loc-tite" on the threads of the battery cap because the vibration would continously loosen it. I watched a demo on utube, where the guy put it on his Glock, turned it over and drove an 8 penny nail through a 2 X 4 then proceeded to shoot hundreds of rounds through the glock. (His advice, it's tough, but don't do this with yours). Hope this was helpful. Oh, I have a CT laser on my Ruger LCP, and I love it just as much. I will admit that it is more automatic than the Laserlyte.

Laserlyte

When I purchased my M&P40 I bought the CT handgrip laser to go with it. I found that I needed to use the small backstrap as the standard (medium) size was just a bit too large for my hands. The CT is the exact same size. I returned it to my dealer and ordered the Laserlyte sight which they installed.

I've only had it to the range once since then but it was fairly easy to sight in and I've had no problem with losing zero. Granted, I've not put a lot through it but I don't anticipate any issues. Good point above about using a drop of the blue stuff on the battery cap. It will come loose and it doesn't take much for the function button to become erratic.

Yeah,I know exactly what you mean about old eyes, same reason I'm looking for something. Thanks for the input,I'm most likely going to give them a try soon as I come up with the cash
