I have a Treadlok chest with a key lock, bought it from an add in Shotgun News. That was 40 years ago.

I have a larger one that is the same vintage and it is a better safe than a newer Liberty

Good safes and I used to sell and deliver them but the S&B combo locks have been outdated by electronic locks for the most part. Old safes are not collector items.

Treadlock Safes were made in my hometown of Roanoke, Va. Don’t recall when they went out of business but recall them making them in the 1970s and 80s.

They’re great safes- been out of production for a number of years. The market for gun safes has more to do with location and mobility than overall quality though, at least IMO.

I have had one for almost 40 years. It's a good dependable safe, I have never had any problems.

If you advertise it for half to three quarters the price of a comparable new one you should find a buyer.
