Oy vey, according to the Farmers Almanac In 2014, the autumnal equinox brings the fall season to the Northern Hemisphere on: September 22 at 10:29 P.M. EDT.

So maybe I should have said the last full day of summer:eek:
I'm so confused.

Summer fall whatever. I live in the desert and the needles don't fall off the cactus. Rarely ever see ice unless I look in the freezer and the only time I see it on the ground is if I spill my drink.

Of course during the summer I can't take a cold shower because the water is too hot. I turn off the hot water heater in May and maybe by the end of September I will turn it back on. During the summer I use the water in the hot water heater to cool the cold water coming in. Might sound confusing but it works and I don't get cooked by the "cold" water.

Of course dove season came in and all the white wing doves moved south to get away from all that kind of heat.

Let's see, oh yeah, the air conditioner is still running but it may get down to the upper 70's tonight. BrrrrrI better get the old sweater out.

It's really quite simple guys! Just collect the money the Nigerian boys say is waiting for you, buy a home in the far north (for summer), and buy another one in the far south.
Live in each one as the weather gives you the urge! :D :D

Aint seen nor heard any Geese flying South yet. :-(( so it MUST still be Summer....

WINTER IS COMING!!!!!

WHY YES IT IS!!!

I have already started decorating;):D

And so are the snow birds.

There bailing out of my area now. Like I said it has been extra cold so the flat landers are going south fast. Tends to get the slowpoke drivers off our roads so we can drive at a reasonable (AKA slightly illegal:D) speeds again)

Give you three guesses where they went.

First two don't count.

WOOHOO.

Grouse are getting nervous and the salmon are looking for lunch.

And I'll be in AZ when winter comes calling.

Being retired is a dirty job but somebody has to do it. And besides, the SSA has to have somebody to cash those checks or those gov't employees would be out of work.
