I had a LE DPD M&P that I sold to buy a 2.0 .40.
Just recently my cousin bought a LE DPD M&P .40 from BUD'S GUNS. I shot about 4 mags through it and was very impressed with the trigger. He told me the DPD 1.0 M&P's had all of the latest upgrades in them, including the trigger pull. So, I bought another one.
The born on date is 11/20/15. I called S&W and they told me this and also stated that S&W had upgraded the internal parts as well. She wouldn't go into detail though. But, the trigger pull feels ALMOST the same as my 2.0! Is this possible? I don't have a trigger weight tool, but my finger meter tells me they are alike. Anyone have any input on this?

I am a late comer/user of the M&P autos so my M&Ps are later (last couple, three years). So, I am not certain what the triggers are like, and the ones that I hear about, in regards to the old triggers from the original guns. I can speak about the newer ones and I am rather impressed with the ones that I have which are all full sized 9, 357 SIG/.40 S&W, and .45ACP. Great triggers. Some take-up slack, then firmness and then ignition. I feel that mine are good, fairly predictable and not so light so as to be dangerous.

The new FS 40 I bought in 2015 had a god awful trigger in. Wish those police trades would have been on Buds when I bought that sucker. Not so much because of the trigger because Apex was happenning to it either way, but I'd have preferred to have paid less for it.

The first DPD .40 I owned was built in 2011. The trigger was atrocious! I kept it for about 6-8 months. Then the 2.0 came out. I couldn't get that 30 lb. trigger M&P sold fast enough! (30 lb. trigger :D )
The DPD .40 I just bought was built in 11/20/15. The S&W lady I talked to stated that the trigger pull weight was 6 lbs. and with about 1K rounds through it, it should stabilize at 5.75 lbs. It's a keeper!

I thought all LE guns had a heavy trigger? I have a 1.0 pro version 40 and while the trigger is ok. It still has a little grit. Most of that is gone now and it has a decent pull around 5lb. Even though it certianly not a competition trigger. I've never felt the need to modify it beyond some minor polishing. That did help the grit but it's continued to get better with just normal wear. Gun probably has a few thousand rounds thru it now. Always has shot very well for a plastic combat pistol
