We draw ever closer to the day that the Department of Interior comes down had on the use of water from the Colorado. In the latest round of cuts, NV loses 8%, AZ 21% and CA (drumroll please) is not cut at all. Why? AZ entered into some deal with CA where they took CA's cuts.:confused::confused:

It's nuts because, as they explain in this article, most of the water CA takes from the river goes into alfalfa that is sold to China. Arizona actually produces FOOD. Really??

The real chilling part is right at the end of this piece when they talk about Lake Powell. Draining it has not been ruled out. The 2023 Lake Mead level may lead to interesting times.

"Interesting times" surely. Feels like we're on the threshold of something Biblical.
USA, Europe, and China, the world's three largest economies, are simultaneously experiencing record heat and drought.
Pandemic.
WWIII potentially beginning in Europe.

The water in the river Elbe has dropped low enough to expose the "Hunger Stones". Famine indicators that were inscribed in 1661 "If you see me, cry".

Look up "rising sea levels". It's never been about how much water there is, it's about how much of it is drinkable.

It's all drinkable if the process is there to purify it. There are several desalination plants in California. The problem is getting it where it's needed.
