Dear Mr. Jones,
My lawfirm, Dewey, Cheatum, and Howe has been retained to handle a class action suit for growing the pine trees that the box for the firearm that was used in the murder/suicide recently in Kansas City that has garnered so much attention. Attention, by the way, that was only placed in the limelight by our close friend and associate Mr. Bob Costas of some obscure sports network.
Mr. Jones, had you not grown the pine trees that were converted into pulp wood, that in turn was manufactured into a shipping instrument for said weapon, i.e box to some, none of this would have happened. In other words, Mr. Jones, you don't know big wood from brush when it comes to liability.
My firm feels that there is no jury in the land that will not see favorably in regards to your downside liability for growing said trees.
Additionally, I feel it is my civic responsiblity to inform you that we are in addtional negotiations with Mr. Whitlock, the obsucre sports nut, that is quoted as "The NRA is the new KKK. They are providing drugs and guns to a subculure that is taking over the streets." Obivously, if the NRA did not exist, none of this would happened either.
So, Sir, in summation in would not suprise me if you were a active member of a tree growers group (an unbenevolent lot I might add) as well as the NRA! In fact, we know that you own a tractor and a Carhart jacket! Symbolism of a culture for sure.
