Hello everyone. I have some ammo questions. Lets say that you goal was to have fun plinking on your own property. You are just having fun and not trying to get all six rounds through the same hole. I realize that some people reload their own ammo. I am not typing about that. For general purpose plinking, would not this range grade reloaded ammo be good enough?

LAX Ammunition RANGE GRADE 38 SPECIAL158GR 500 RDS W/ Ammo Can - 38 SPCL RELOADS - Handgun Reloads - LAX Reloads | Lax Ammunition

I would like your thoughts on this idea.

I have used their 45 Colt and 41 mag without issue. I think of it as reloadable brass that happens to show up pre-assembled.

I have shot thousands of rounds from LAX. They have reloads and factory reloads new. Not much difference in price and I believe it's just new brass vs reused brass. I buy the factory reloads new usually. $.26 vs $.28

I would say the accuracy is good at 1.3" at 25 yards and the velocity thru my SW686 was:
38 special getting 800fps.
357 mag getting 1000fps.

Free shipping fairly often.

If not handloading, I recommend these for plinking.

That’s a pretty good price, but they’re currently out of stock. There’s a local company that sells remanufactured .38 Special for $145/500. A few members of my gun club shoot it regularly and are happy with it.

I am interested in the idea because It costs about the same as the steel case TulAmmo but without the cases getting stuck in a revolver cylinder. I realize the LAX ammo is out of stock but at this point...just doing research.

Get on their mailing list for free shipping. I've shot lots of their 38/158gr, great for range, plinking. Never paid for shipping.

Why buy reloads when you can buy new factory brass cased 38 spl 158 gr
lead RN or SWC or 130 gr FMJ for as little as $.24 a round in case lots?
