Yesterday while making our weekly Saturday Walmart grocery run. As we were loading our groceries in 1 degree weather. I noticed a male Pushing a cart with a couple bags in it toward a semi setting no awful from me. seen load those bags in the truck and then took bags out of the truck and put them back in the cart. then he pushed it over to the curb and left it and drove away.
At least he pushed the cart so it would not blow into someone vehicle and the trash isn't along the roadway.

I Know Truck drivers .... They for the most part would have put all of that in a can. Others just don't care and think that since the stores hire people to retrieve carts they can also throw trash away they are being paid. I myself would be annoyed if I had that job , but I'm also the guy that say I'm being paid for the hour so it doesn't matter what I have to do. No such thing as "not in my job description" and also there is always something to do at work.

A while back I watched some punk unload his cart then push the cart in front of my car. I put my bag in the car then pushed his cart back in front of his cart before he pulled out. He was going to get out to confront me then thought better after I egged him on to come out. I left. The dumb butt probably would have given me a run for my money but he didn’t get out of his truck. What a sissy!

The shopping cart test tells a lot about a person. There is no legal mandate to return it correctly, etc., but doing or not doing so tells us if they are fundamentally decent or not.

Shopping Cart Return Service at area Aldi and Ruler shops.

Both shop use the Insert 25 Cents to free carts from storage row.

Frequently see some young entrepreneurs offering to return the cart for me.

Returning a cart to the storage row will release the Quarter.

Must be making enough to keep them happy.

Have seen these young ones working several times.

Another board, and somebody started the thread about shopping cart returns.

I was stunned to see how many people - that I had long considered intelligent decent people - saying that they don't return carts because the store pays somebody to get the carts and nobody is paying them, so they just leave them in the parking lot once they've got the stuff in their car.

Friday at Sam’s Club I chatted with a young lady as WE pushed our carts to the parking lot corral. Was about 50 yards so time to congratulate ourselves for doing what is proper.

As I got back to my ride heard a crash; she drove forward only to hit a cart that could not be seen from the driver’s seat. Some knucklehead had left a cart directly in front of her truck. Had to be intentional.

Her truck was a big Ram. OEM ride height.

Yes, she should have looked in front. But let’s be honest…

Damage was minimal. Grill piece that fell off was pushed back in place and some paint damage will prob buff out.

Years ago, was parked in a store parking lot which slanted down enough that unattended carts could roll off. When I came out of the store, there was a cart resting against my driver door. I mumbled a few epithets, then as I got closer noticed that not only was there no damage to me, but also the unknown ***hole had forgotten the case of beer he had left on the lower shelf.

Somewhere, I once read that you can tell a lot about a person's character when you see what they do with an empty shopping cart. Not counting anyone injured or handicapped, of course.
