Had the Ruger for a wile and have been very satisfied. I shoot it well and it carry's so well in my front pocket. Now me and the wife and dog drive the length of Florida to visit daughter and grandson in Miami so I decided to carry only one firearm and the Ruger with an Alabama pocket holster and an extra couple of mags. Once I'm in Miami I realize no defense ammo made the trip. Google pointed me to Weston Arms and Shooting range. Ask for a box of Hornady Critical Defense 380. The salesman's immediately ask what I was carrying and I said the LCP max and he went into action demoing a Ultra Carry plus he opened a sticky holster, so we tried pocket carry dry fire the whole gambit and I have to say I'd be an owner if I could have walked out with the new item. So these nice people in Weston, Fl planted a seed. As soon as the new wears off the Ultra Carry I'll probably pick one up….sorry for the long winded post…wk

It was the Bodyguard 2.0 Carry Comp 380 that was demonstrated to me. Don't know where I dreamed up Ultra Carry from but that has a better ring to it than "The Teeny Weeny Pocket BG" in my book. All pocket carry choices are compromises and I think I'll add a Carry Comp at some point. My main thought is the carry option with you out shoots the 45 in your sock drawer.

I would never carry a compensated pistol for EDC. It may not be as bad with .380, but I can tell you from experience that if you ever have to hip shoot as a quick response to an attack, you are likely to get hot gases towards your face.

Actually I like "Ultra Carry".
Apparently a compensated pistol for a close encounter defense carry has some disadvantages.
Again.. what were the design people at S&W thinking?

I dont know about the Ultra/Comp" but I can say I have the LcpMax and I love it. its become my most carried gun. I can also say ive shot the BG 2.0 quite a bit and they are BOTH great I have A/B compared them and they are different yet both good. I would feel great owning/carrying either of them. I fully recommend both and for me its a tie I wouldn't get 1 over the other shoot both decide they are a Win/Win tie for me.

You beat me to the keyboard.

Watched a lot of videos on the BG2.0 original vs. Carry Comp. Not convinced the ported barrel helps, maybe if I shot it myself? Don't know.

That's the one thing I tell all my friends and anyone who asks. Always shoot it before you buy it.

If I were to buy the BG2.0 today I'd probably get the carry comp but it's not enough to unseat the original BG2.0 from the pocket holster every day.
