I bought one for my mother back in 2013 as a home defense gun-she hd a friend with one -she shot it and liked it and didn't like the nice Model 64 no dash I had given her-go figure
SO I bought her one, she threw away the box and tucked it into the bag it came in and stuck it in her bedside table. I don't think she ever even loaded it! At least she kept everything else that came with it
Anyway she is moving to a Sr place that frowns on the residents packin' so I now have it and just don't care for it. I'm a J frame man and never could warm up to those newfangled half and half revolvers. It is heavier than my 317 and has about the same trigger pull-but at least I can cock my 317.
Anyone have one of these and like them????Maybe I'm missing something. I really don;t want to take a beating on selling it...but otherwise it is just gonna sit in the pouch and just be something else for my kids to get rid of after I die

Ruger has sold a ton of LCR's and I've noticed they don't hang around long on armslist. Place a add and see what happens.
My wife carries one in 38spl. and the trigger is pretty nice. I understand the 22lr version has a few more pounds in the pull to insure the rimfire rounds go off.

If it's the 3-inch version I know a guy who's been kinda looking for one ..... just sayin'.

Nothin' wrong with it at all – unless it is the Maggie version which has a pretty hard DAO trigger pull. I don't own one, but I can't imagine how an aluminum-cylindered S&W would hold up better. I like the heck out of my two. Sure, the polymer grip frame is chintzy. But they have steel-reinforcements for the center pin (Hello, S&W) and are built to last. Plus, no ugly hole above the cylinder latch.

I have an LCR in 22wmr. I like it fine, but my PC 637 find it's way in my pocket more often. I had hoped my wife would warm up to the LCR, but that hasn't happened...yet.

So. What happened to the 64 no dash?

I use my LCR-22 as a trainer: the heavy DAO pull on the light gun really magnifies any issues that are sneaking into your shooting. It goes to the range almost every time I do, but if I had it to do over again, I doubt I'd buy it. Not fun to shoot and no soul at all.

I had hoped it would be a good gun to use for introducing new folks to shooting but - 1) it's not - the heavy pull/light gun thing makes for disheartening results, 2) after taking newbies to the range for thirty years, I'm done with the time, hassles and expense of teaching - I'm retired, and I deserve some time for me to enjoy shooting.

Sell the thing, Gary - if you are like me and you got into it cheapishly, you won't take too much of a beating. Hell, it's not like they wear out. :)
