Yeah the reason for me asking was I qualify for the LE/MIL program, but there seems to be no 9's available until probably the first of the year. I can find .40's all day under the program, but not 9mm.
Anyway, my PX just started carrying firearms and they just so happened to have two 9mm Shields. I was in the market for exactly two of them (one for the wife and one for me). As you know PX doesn't charge tax, but the price was $65 above the LE/MIL program. I was told by the guy behind the counter that I could apply for the "Star Card" (PX credit card) and save 10% off my first purchase. Long story short, after figuring out the tax I would have paid if I bought from a LE distributor, plus the 10% discount at the PX with no tax...I only paid around $3.70 more per weapon....with two mags a piece, and not having to wait 4 months. Both weapons were test fired in JUL of this year (2013).
