LEATHER HELP NEEDED

I have a knife sheath which is missing the belt loop which was riveted on. I want to pass it on to my grandson in good condition. I received a bid from a member professional, but it was too much for my budget. Anyone out there who wants to take this on? I can email a photo because I cannot upload it here. Thanks!

Or you could replace it yourself. Amazon has what you need to replace it from rivets, sewing awl, punch, to the leather itself but you can use a old boot or belt depending on thickness. You may also have to dye it.

A local shoe repair guy fixed a holster for me many years ago. He said it was an easier job than working on shoe leather. Check with a shoe repair shop in your area.

I quoted him $40 including return shipping.I think that is more than fair,It will cost $6 to ship it so I am left with $34.By the time I measure,cut,fit,dye and rivet the piece back on it will take me 2hrs.That does not include the cost of the materials.Most skilled trades charge $30/hr or more,Check how much your local Auto Mechanic charges...
