Setting up a auto-drum powder measure on a Lee Classic turret.

Do you have to depresss the disconnect level/button after each charge? It seems to pop up and it needs to be depressed every time?

That is the way it is designed to work on a turret or SS press. There is a chain affair to use on progressives to automatically reset it.

This is designed as a safety device to prevent double charges.

If you perhaps look at the instructions the "safety" can be disengaged. I think the safety is more of a risk then not having it especially on a turret press. I defeated mine.

The chain is not used on a turret press and the instructions have been changed it seems. It originally came with the discontent in operation, it looks like now the user installs or activates it. Either way defeat it unless you want to remember to click it for every load which defeats the advantage of the turret press.

thanks for the replies. My instructions were different and were missing that whole piece about installing the safety. It was already installed on the powder measure. And now it's successfully removed.

thanks!
