I plan on shooting my 60-7 (38 Special) more than I have to this point. I am considering buying one of these bare-bones LEE reloading kits. Are they worth looking into? I will probably go through ~1200 rounds in the next year (just an estimate). Thanks for your opinions! Skychief.

I think mine was sold as the "anniversary kit". It came with a scale, powder funnel, powder measure, o ring press, and various other odds and ends. I think I bought it from Midway.

Check out the WTS ads. I've got one listed at a very good price. You won't be disappointed.

Personally I would not buy any of Lee's latest production. A used older press should be fine but what is coming out there lately has been just plain nasty. I guess to hasten the production line they just pulled their QC. The last two things I've gotten from them in the last 2 months I have literally thrown away.

I am very happy with my Lee Challenger Breech Lock Press. For the money it is fine. The scale is accurate but very touchy and difficult to use. I bought a Dillion beam scale for $50 (made by Ohaus)which is much nicer to use.
The other brands are heavier duty but more money.

I was given a Lee kit a few years ago [3 turret] and everything I own is Lee. I have nothing but great things to say. Saved enough to have lots of rounds ready to go at any moment. Start off with it and you wont see any reason to switch. Working fine.
