Allowing one family member to get power of attorney in a situation such as this gives them the opportunity to totally bleed an estate dry before any probate begins. Not only do they get control of all the accounts but they can actually borrow money against the real property that is already paid for. By the time probate arrives the estate could very easily be worth negative numbers. Especially bad if a gigalo is in the mix. Glad your going to see the lawyer.

Reality Check?? I'll will be glad to give you a reality check.. The following words were not written by me.. but by a pretty good author.. and I quote.

Now comes my part..
The reality of the situation here on the forum is that we ARE all friends.. some closer than others..but still we are friends.. and friends listen.. give advice when asked.. or sympathy when needed.. always with an understanding that no one is talked down to.. or no one is rude to one another.. no one takes a condescending attitude or tone to a fellow member..
Another thing you may have noticed here is that friends are always willing to gather around another in time of crisis, need, or perceived threat.. or offense.
So Mr. Amici.. by reading the responses of the other members of this forum.. you have seen the true nature of the beast.. Loyal, caring, interested.. but most of all willing to help.. no matter in which Forum Section the help is asked for.
But I have never seen a tone or attitude like yours, when dispensing what was probably good advice..
GO SEE AN ATTORNEY.. too bad you were not taught proper "bedside" manners..

Well handled gentlemen.

I was on the road yesterday. Even though exhausted and sleep deprived, I checked the reported posts late last night before crashing. This thread had been reported, and someone wanted Amici handled.

Well, while I ruminated upon that, I took a quick cruise in The Lounge, and found two threads that I could not believe.
Three more hours of sleep deprivation.....

Just to be perfectly clear- NO member was suspended for participation in this thread alone. Only ONE member in this thread got ANY consideration for suspension, and that is for cre@t!ve sp*!!ing to avoid the filter.

Get the facts straight in your minds, gents. As I said THIS thread, with the ONE spelling exception, is NOT why you were suspended. Tell it like it is, or don't come back.

Some folks can't stand "Reality" especially if it doesn't agree with their personal views. And, likely no amount of time in the "Wood Shed" is going to help that sort but good luck!!! He certainly needs one.
