Only if you shorten them to fit. I'm assuming you mean a .38 Safety? I-frame grips will fit, but J-frame ones are about 1/8" or a little more too long.

If you use boot-style grips (either wood or rubber) they will cover the extra space at the bottom. Of course they won't look period-correct, but they make it much more comfortable to shoot.

They wont fit my .32 Safties, the rounded part at the top of the grip frame is smaller than the rounded part on the J Frame grips. The J frame grips will fit my hand ejectors but not the Safties. I have taken J frame diamond grips and shortened them to fit the hand ejector grip frames and they fit nice, I also have taken the top of them and cut them down to the size of the washer on the back side od the grip and they look even better.

Hi Madison, Just for info, there is a guy selling repo "lemon squeezer" grips on Ebay. They are polyurethane, different colors etc. I am considering a set of "ivory" for my New Departure Safety Hammerless, Model 1, circa 1890-91 production per Roy Jinks letter. I have the original grips as well as a repro pair from Numrich but the white may dress up the old nickel girl. About $35 w/shipping from the Ebay guy (look under S&W grips) and, as I recall, a little less for black repros from Numrich. Regards, Ray
