Along with the people of Louisiana, there is a group called the Salvation Army we should never forget.

I'm guessing it won't be long before we lose power, the power lines out back have been sparking for hours and the ride is just now about to REALLY begin. I'll check back in as I can.

Thanks for the good wishes!
It looks like the eye will be passing very close to Thibodaux around noon. This is a very slow moving storm, according to the forecast we'll be having high winds and lots of rain for a couple of days. I woke up about 3 AM lots of wind gust noise and creaking of doors, windows, even from the attic. It is 4:30 am now I am surprised the electricity is still on. Everything is boarded up, dry run for the 7 KW generator yesterday, it runs off of the tractor PTO which works out well. We always have a good supply of diesel and the tractor is the lawn mower so is ready to go.
Most stores shut down yesterday at noon, the usual "Hurricane buying frenzy" had left the shelves bare of batteries, bread, water, chips and most beer. A 7 PM to 7 AM curfew is in effect.
I prepped the fishing camp on the coast and the boat yesterday, how high the water rises will determine how they fare.
Good luck all!

Well, some were saying that the Mississippi River was running dry.
It looks like Isaac means to fill things back to the top.
Wishing all effected dry feet and solid roofs.
