I always wanted to put a set of good combat fixed sights and a good trigger job on one of these and just see how good they can be. The few I owned handled great and were easy to hit with even with the poor sights.
I bought this one from a widow who said it had sat in her husband's sock drawer for over 50 years. When I first held it I was amazed, it looked prestine and maybe unfired. Unfortunately, when I turned it over the "down" side finish was ruined and it had some surface rust from sitting in that drawer, unoiled, for so many years. I sent it off and had it bead blasted and then parkerized in a gray/green finish. It is a regular shooter and rides in my boot pretty much anytime I'm on my Harley, it's very reliable and very accurate.
