How much upgrading have you done to your entry level M&P-15 Sport? These are great rifles and I'm just curious what others have done to make them even better!

Here's a shot of mine... It's got a Midwest drop-in quad rail, a RRA 2-stage match trigger, FDE FAB Defense (Mako) furniture, a Leatherwood CMR 1-4x scope with SSALT mount from SWFA and a Streamlight TLR-1 HPL weapon light. It's a little heavy this way but it's got much improved ergonomics (IMO) and it's sure a nice shooter!

I don't own a Sport, but I wanted to comment anyway.

That's a great picture and your rifle looks great too. I have the same scope. How do you like it?

Thanks for the compliment on the photo. Amazing what you can do these days with a cell phone camera and some editing!

I really like that CMR scope. It's an absolutely incredible value. Clear optics, great reticle, holds zero well and is repeatable. It's a well-built optic. If I had to choose one complaint it's that in general I don't like battery powered optics. I already managed to kill one battery by leaving the thing on! Honestly though I could probably do without the illuminated reticle in this scope.

I agree with Rastoff, nice setup. What grip is that?

For the money, it's fine, but I wouldn't call it stellar. It's supposed to be a long eye relief magnifier, but you have to get right up on it to get a complete picture.

Looks like FDE is the theme of the thread so far.
Rogers Super stoc.
CAA Ergonomic Pistol Grip.
Badger extended latch.
Aimpoint Pro.
A*B Arms - A*B Pro Hand Guard.
Elzetta Mini CQB weapons light.
Kley-Zion 2-point quick adjust tactical sling.

I have really enjoyed this gun and it's transformation so far. I spent many years bucking the the black rifle trend, and now I own 3.
2 sports, and a PSA build. I'd say I have been infected.

That's a great looking rifle, Grjfer. Love that handguard. Yeah FDE does seem to be "the rage" these days. I think it's the contrast of the black steel against the FDE components, very pleasing to the eye! You can never have too many AR's! I only have 2 right now and I'm constantly finding myself "shopping" for more.

OK, it's not a Sport, but I still wanna play...

This is kinda the way I'm leanin' right now. Toward the 3G style rifle. A little longer SS 1:8 free-float barrel. Longer hand guard. 2-stage trigger. I'm not a competitor, but I want many of the features of a comp rifle. Or, I might just get the cheaper, basic design. I think the sport is a good candidate for that.

Not a ton of mods, but as follows:

Knights Armament RAS rail
Primary Arms Microdot
BCM Mod 4 handle
Magpul BAD lever
KAC VFG
Streamight Polytac

All you really need.... That's a nice, simple lightweight setup.

How's the PA micro work for you?

Trying to do as little as possible to my Sport.

New grip, because the stock one was small, hard, and uncomfortable. That's it.

That won't last.... its like a disease. Pretty soon you'll start hating that buttstock. Then you'll want to add an optic. After that you'll figure those standard hand guards are ugly (and they are).

Before you know it you'll be running around your house pretend "room clearing" with your light, quad rail, verticle grip and eotech, and a sling and .... And.... Etc etc etc. hahaha :)
