I got the Sport home before the New Year. Having it here, I've given it a closer inspection that I could in the gun store, and I must say, I'm now really impressed. I never doubted S&W. :D

The gas key staking looks really good.

It has the renowned 1/8 5R barrel.

And now resides in the Tac bag with all its friends.

I plan on changing a few things in the near future just to suit my own taste, but the basic gun is great. The UTG quad rail is going away, as is the basic black stock and pistol grip, all in favor of Magpul FDE furniture. A good 2 point battle sling is a must, as is a replacement flash suppressor.

Tomorrow it goes to work with me for a little one on one time when I get off. :D

Sorry for the fuzzy pics, but I was hyped to get this done.

Although I only got mine just a couple of months ago - and I've had it out to the range maybe 3 or 4 times - I absolutely love mine. I'm sure you will love yours as well. S&W has done a fine job.

Enjoy!

Thanks all. I finally got to send some rounds down range today. The Sport was flawless, the UTG optics...not so much, the quad rail and vertical grip were alright, and the weather down right cold. The hands were frozen by the time I picked up all the brass. Brass showed some very minor ding marks, and the brass deflector showed some brass colored strike marks. Not a game changer, but something I'm going to check out.

The new FDE Magpul furniture will be here by Thursday (MOE handguard and CTR stock), and I've been window shopping for some new optics. Maybe a micro red dot, a reflex sight, or a nice AR 3 or 4 power scope.

Now it's time to start reloading a bunch of ammo so I'm ready come Spring. :D

Magpul parts arrived ahead of schedule, which was really nice. :D

M.O.E. hand guard, CTR stock, both installed, and a M.O.E+ pistol grip on the way. I kept the UTG vertical grip for now, and figured out a couple issues with the UTG sight and magnifier, so tomorrow it's back to the range to check it out. Still have to get the grip installed and get the new flash suppressor coming. I've even looked at a fake can. Strictly for looks, you know vanity run wild. So here's a transition pic just for grins.

As always, good shooting. ;)
