Great movie on Prime

Saw a trailer for SISU 2 the other day, apparently now he is pissed off at the Russians. Looks like SISU X 2 would be a better descriptor!!

SISU 2: ROAD TO REVENGE
Looks pretty good. Looking forward to it when it comes out in November. I can't believe Steven Lang is still doing action movies at 73! Good matchup between him and Jorma Tommila.

Dude just can't catch a break!

If you have a chance, catch Sisu on Prime before it's taken down. Made in Finland, so there's no recognizable actors, but a lot of action. Lots of Tarantino influence with over the top gore and dark humor.
I'll check it out. Good movies are hard to find these days! My wife and I just binged (over 2 nights) the first 6 episodes of season one of "Departure w/ Christopher Plummer ". It was worth watching!

We have the usual selection of channels along with Amazon Prime, Netflix, Apple TV, Peacock, Paramount+, Youtube and Xfinity and we often wind up watching a vintage 1940's vintage movie after spending 20 - 30 minutes searching for something new to watch.

After 20mins of searching I fall back to "My Man Godfrey". Must have seed it 100 times. I try to find a decent series thats been on at least 4-5 seasons. Getting tough to find.

Watched it a while back. It is entertaining and I agree with the Tarantino style comparison. It is a little hard to believe but then again, it's entertainment. Without trying to be provocative, I like Tarantino films. To each their own you like what you like.

I would recommend this film.

Not really. The reason so many poor quality films are made these days is because there are audiences that will watch virtually anything and call it good. Tarantino work is a good example. Sort of like eating fast food daily and calling it delicious.
Have you seen Once Upon a Time in Hollywood?

I like some Tarantino movies — e.g., above, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown — but not others — e.g., Kill Bill, Django, The Hateful Eight.

Tried to watch it; after a few minutes I could see it was a waste of time. Same for Django. I tried to watch Pulp Fiction, giving it two chances, but it was unwatchable. I did see all of Hateful Eight the second time I looked at it, but I'm not sure why I did that. However, it was not the first poor decision I've made in my life. Really terrible western, easily among the worst ever made.

Jackie Brown was worth watching; certainly not an excellent movie but a pretty good one with a decent cast. Tarantino's tastes in film may be as poor as that of his film disciples, but I guess even he slips up once in a while and makes something worth seeing.
