Hello all, I just plunked down my cash on a new Model 60 Pro Series today and I'm hoping you guys can give me some eye candy to drool over during my 10 day waiting period.
I rented the same model at the range today before I bought one. My revolver history has been like Goldilocks and the three bears. I've had a 340 and 342 PD, 686 SSR, 620, etc. TheJ-Frame 2 inchers with fixed sights were outstanding for carry but no fun at all to shoot and not exactly confidence inspiring as a defensive gun. The 686/ 620 were fun at the range and way too big and heavy to carry (and this from a guy who regularly carries a 5" steel 1911).
But the 60 Pro Series....just right.
It handled like it was a part of me. The looks are absolutely stunning; perhaps the best looking revolver I've seen (very subjective of course). I'm not a huge fan of the grips like everyone else seems to be. I anticipate putting some Cocobolo Hogue checkered grips on it shortly. In fact, I live a short distance from Hogue, so fortunately I get to check out lots of wood patterns before paying for one.
Anyways, enough about me, let's see those great looking slab sides.
