I went the nail polish route. Had it on about 6 months, no issues as of yet

after much consideration, I've decided to go the tacticrayola route; possibly even today lol...black on model/caliber/s&w logo/m&p 15-22, green on safe, red on fire, then red/white/blue on smith&wesson/springfield ma/made in usa!
