Hey Gang,
I thinking of getting one of these optics for my vision deficiencies. I would like to know what size you chose and why, 3.5 or 7.5 also any pros and cons of the item. I'm using it for local steel challenge plate shooting, fun stuff....nothing serious. Thanks in advance.

The larger delta will be faster to pick up and that is what you want for drag racing.

7.5 is IMO the best for any speed shooting (Steel Challenge or USPSA). As has been said, the smaller dot is best for s l o w bullseye shooting.:D

The club I shoot with shoots 50 ft indoor bullseye during the winter. The conventional wisdom is to use a smaller dot.

To me the smaller (3 min) dot is hard to consistently center in the bull. Put an 8 min dot in the bull and it leaves a nicely defined black ring around it that, to me, is much easier to see is centered.

Try both and see what you think... We have a fair number of "converts".

I just checked out a C-more STS series sight in 7moa at a gun show yesterday and like it. I got on c-more.com and did not find a S&W revolver mount which is what I want it for. I'll have to call them, I don't want to put a picatinny rail on then the sight on top of that......that's too much and I don't like the looks.

I had both, I started with the 7.5 "triangle " reticle, and found it a bit to big ( primary use steel challenge competitions ) , settled on the 3.5 MOA version, which is great . It's not as small as it sounds, it's plenty bright, and probably just a tad smaller then a 6 moa CMORE dot.

I run a Trijicon RM07 on my Glocks. The 6.5 minute dot works great from spitting distance out to 50 yards. For Bullseye, the 3 minute dot on UltraDots seem to be the most prevalent at the National Matches.
