Couldn't remember ever seeing one listed for sale so I grabbed it for $30. Lewis L.A.Cal. 2 tan leather open top IWB holster. From measurements thought it would fit a vintage 2" S&W J frame or 2" Colt Det. Tried the J frame first and it was a little loose, next tried the Colt Det. and the fit was perfect Nice shape for estimated 60+ years old, leather supple with age related patina. Has a leather strap with chrome plated snap on face of holster to secure to belt. No model number on back of holster other than the 2 for 2" barrel. Came out of CA and guessing it might be a retired LE officers holster for plain clothes or off duty. Bucheimer made similar IWB holsters but all the ones I'v seen used metal clips to secure to belt. Almost time to watch some 50s Dragnet reruns, maybe I'll spot one.
