Stopped into my favorite LGS on the way home from work a week or so ago and found this four-inch Model 13 in the used gun case. Serial number dates it to 1979. It's P&R and the stocks serial number to the gun. I owned a four-inch Model 13 many years ago and foolishly sold it. This one won't get away :) Price was $529.00 plus tax. I think I did pretty good on this one.

That is a real beauty and thank you so much for sharing. I imagine there may be just the faintest aroma of mothballs if you were to be in exactly the right downwind position! Beautiful!

Agreed: you did well, indeed. The experience I have had with my Model 65 4" (the Model 13 in stainless) has been very good.

Many years ago my Dad told me something ...
" Boy , don't ever sell a gun you like ...you will come to regret it ."
Excellant advice there ...pass it on , And don't sell this one !

SO TRUE!!!

I had a 4" M13 for many years and then acquired a 3". In a moment of weakness I sold the 4" to a student. She took our Handgun Fundamentals class and decided she NEEDED a .357. Her husband, a close friend, was a Glockcentric LEO instructor. He told me he was going to get her a Taurus!!! I sold them my 4" 13 for what I had in it. (10 year old price at the time.)

I didn't NEED 2 M13s, right? The regret soon followed.

On the other hand friends don't let friend's wives shoot imported revolvers.

In this case there were extenuating circumstances ... You unselfishly sacrificed your 4"M13 ... not for profit but to save a Lady from becoming a victim of the dredded Glock/Import Dark Side .
Yes we must sacrifice when a Lady's virtue is at stake ... you saved her from the Plastic & Non-S&W Hordes ... Very Nobel of you !

I notice we tend to do things we normally wouldn't do ...when a lady is involved !
