Has anybody shot any of the Liberty Civil Defense 60 gr. 10MM ammo? Got four boxes of it in a trade. It sounds pretty hot at 2400 FPS advertised. Just curious.

The Underwood 100gr Xtreme Defender at 1800+ would probably be my choice in factory ammo for "lower than typical weight" 10mm fodder... But, why?. We are usually talkin' minute of BEAR vs. minute of car door where 10mm is concerned.

In the OP's case I can understand the "why?". That's certainly enough rounds to determine where they are going to end up. (And take care of a plethora of "bad guys"!)

Cheers!

P.S. I load the Lehigh 140gr version in both 10mm & 40 S&W and it's a doozy!

No grizzly bears or any other bears here. Lots of thin skinned targets in various places. If I decided to carry a 10MM for self defense it would be as protection against those or as a night stand gun.

I have watched all three videos. Not looking to stop bears and such. Just thin skinned predators. Home/self defense. I will use it for that in both my S&W 610 and my Ruger SR1911 10MM. If it will go through 2 layers of car door sheet metal and still penetrate 12 inches and also go through 9 layers of clothing and again penetrate 12 inches. It should do the job.
