Life span of a model 60, .357

Am I being too cautious?
Shooting full power, light bullet(for the caliber), high velocity loads will accelerate wear to the forcing cone on any gun.

I have at least 12,000 rounds of standard, mid-range and Plus-P ammo through my .38 Special (1982 vintage) Model 60. I used to shoot it a lot to maintain proficiency with the snub as it was my normal off-duty gun (duty gun was a 6" M-66). All that shooting did was smooth the action and demonstrate the inadequacies of various small grip styles!

Considering the price of ammo, and the clowns that are getting ready to be elected, it will last you a long time.
