Light primer strikes with 686

Ok guys, I have a 686 that has been gunsmithed for IDPA SSR. A Wolff mainspring was installed and the strain screw has a hex head lock. I have had light hammer strikes using Remington target loads and their Magnum 158 grain soft points. In addition, today at the outdoor range we had light strikes with Speer Gold 38 +Ps. The interesting thing is that shooting Federal White Box 125 grain 38 +Ps, I had no light strikes. I am guessing that for the primers on Remington and Speer ammo, the mainspring set lbs is to light? I have read that Federal primers are generally softer than other ammo mfrs. Any thoughts would be great. This is a nice shooting wheelgun, but I will not carry it for CCW with the light strike issue. More mainspring or longer strain screw, should be a easy fix.

As an avid SSR shooter, I would not even consider carrying my 7# trigger range gun for self defense, and personally consider it nuts to do so. My handloads with Federal primers work 100% in it, BUT...

I carry a polished but stock spring 10# trigger revolver for defense.
