Here's my L'il and Big Brother S&Ws posing for a family pix.

On the left is my Mdl 63-4 .22 with the heavy 5" barrel. I really like the heavy profile better than the skinny 4" barrel that's on my Mdl 63 in .32 H&R Mag (it's the other brother, who is not shown). I'd posted about this 5" .22 several years ago after I'd added the "3 Ts" to it -- a target hammer, target trigger and target grips. It's fun to carry and shoot.

On the right is the Mdl 66-2 .357 that I just picked up for a nice price. I replaced the hard rubber (gee, I thought they were supposed to be "soft"?) Pachmyer grips that were on it and dressed it up a little. I've already replaced the stainless hammer with a case-colored version (just because that's what I prefer) and the trigger is due to be replaced soon too -- but I'll start a separate posting about that due to a fitting issue.

Oh, you can tell that I like Altamont grips too.

The neat L'il brother J frame with its 5" barrel is basically a down-sized 85% version of the K frame .357, and is a constant companion in the Maine woods.

Tight groups!

Looks good. I, too, have a 4" 63 (.22 LR) and 6" 66.

What part of the Maine woods? I used to live in Sanford/Springvale for a few years before I joined the Army. Now, I live in another neck of the woods with which you're obviously familiar-Fayetteville, TN, right next door to Lynchburg. (As a TN Squire, I have an unregistered plot of land there in Moore County.)

I had a 4" model 63 years ago. I foolishly let an acquaintance talk me out of it. When will I ever learn? My J-Frames now are the more commonplace .38 and 9mm types, but at least I still have a few L'il and Big S&Ws.

Me too -- Plot #637k. Somewhere in the cellar I have a tobacco root that the JD Distillery sent to me because it was found on my 1' x 1' plot of land.

Back to S&Ws, I wish my .32 H&R Mag had a 5" bull barrel like the 63-4 does. I recall an old post on this forum where someone (GreenFrog?) made a SS K frame into a .32 Mag.

Nice, I have one of those 5 inch 63-4s, its my oldest grandson's favorite and he carries it every time we hunt.
