Due to the relatively high post-Covid prices for 5.56, I only shoot 20-30 rounds of 5.56 per trip to the range, depending on the number of rounds per box. Before I could easily blow off 80-100 rounds each trip.

Because I only shoot reduced recoil 00 buck from my 12 gauge riot guns, and it is now hard to find at any price, I am severely restricting my practice. I practice less often and will only shoot 5-10 rounds per practice session. Before I would often shoot 20 rounds per session.

I have plenty of .40 S&W. So it's still one box of 50 each trip to the range.

Have your shooting habits changed?

No change, really. I am pretty well stocked with ammo and components for the stuff I like to shoot. Matter of fact just got into the 6.5 Creedmoor in the past couple months, a caliber I have never owned. I have had no problems finding loaded ammo and components at decent prices. For example, S&B 6.5 CM, 140 grain FMJBT is available at $15 a box, and is one inch for five shots ammo at 300 yards.

I have been lucky that the club I belong to has kept the range open throughout the China Virus, even though the club house has been closed.

Partly the ammo situation, partly I'm very busy with work, partly it't too hot outside to shoot as much.

I've got plenty of ammo. :) I'm not using it right now, but that has little or nothing to do with COVID. It has to do with my extremely limited free time and the fact that my only shooting range options right now are relatively expensive pay-as-you-shoot indoor ranges.

My shooting has come to a complete stop. Only range available to me is an indoor range. Until Covid-19 I shot 2-3 times/week. I miss going and shooting the weekly competitions. But I'm not willing to take a chance of getting sick (or worse); until things settle down. I miss having an outdoor range to go to.

I shoot mostly 38/357 - in both rifles and revolvers. I've got a whole mess of small rifle primers that I don't generally use. I've been using them in my 38/357 range ammo. They work fine and it allows me to use up some old stock while saving new. That's the only change I've made.

The stores around here have ammo. The farm store has lots of ammo. Even 22, 223, and 9mm. It ain't cheap but its there.

Ranges never closed here, I have been shooting as usual except I shoot more .22 right now to conserve other calibers.

My trap league started back up so it's nice to be back shooting with others. Since shot shells are easy to find and not marked up I'm shooting more trap than bullseye.

Kinda sorta.

I've got a decent amount of ammo on hand, though not as much as many here. I'm limited by money and storage space. If I manage it properly, I could probably make a monthly range trip and make it last 'til the end of the year, maybe longer.

My local range was closed down until a couple months ago, and I was able to make a range trip. Unfortunately, due to social distancing restrictions, my time was limited.

I've also been dealing with health issues, so that's been a limiting factor.

Not to mention range fees. I don't make a lot of money, so that's also a limiting factor.

But I still do dry fire practice when I can, and I've found that does a good job of maintaining basic skills when I can't get to a range.

So overall, I'd say no change for me.

I also shoot a good bit of black powder which helps and if I might add, a whole bunch of fun. I also reload some which also helps in that I don't have to pay ridiculous prices being charged right now. I have not noticed any shortages of reloading components

I learned my lesson years ago. I've got plenty of ammo.
But I haven't been shooting much these last few months due to covid, other health reasons, been busy and now its just plain hot out there. :(
However, I am planning to get to the range one day next week if I can. ;)

Creatures of Habit

No change I my shooting habits. I have access to an Indoor
Range, and large shooting area at the Farm.

Hoarding Powder/Primers/Bullets since 2008. Trust only in God,
Gold, Guns, and Lead.

I am well off in all Components and Reload for all Guns I shoot,
even for some I don't have, such as Govt 45/70.

At $8-$10 for a box (50) of Center Fire Cartridges.......I'm good.

The Best to you that did not Hoard and your Endeavors!

Several have already mentioned they reload, as do I. Decades ago, I got really tired of settling for whatever was on the shelf at my local gun shops. I might find premium ammunition once and awhile, but often could not afford to buy it. Things have only gotten worse in recent years. Now a box of 20 premium rifle rounds can easily cost $50-$80 or more and I refuse to pay that much.

So, other than 22RF, I have not bought a box of ammo for probably 25 years, and probably shoot more because I reload. I have 14 different calibers of molds and a dozen reloading dies. I often shoot calibers that I cannot purchase over the counter and reload common calibers that are actually better suited to target shooting or hunting, and perform in my guns better than what is commercially available.

Building better loads that give you higher accuracy, with less cost, plus no shortages are the the way to go for me.
