Several guns here. Most or all will be cross listed on a different local forum. Wish I could keep’em all but unfortunately need to pick and choose at this stage in life. I originally got them for a reason, they’re cool guns:
- Lipseys edition Ruger GP100 blued 5 inch 357 mag with original box. Very good condition with one small finish mark on right side of the topstrap. $800 shipped.
- Sig P228 9mm with one 15rd mecgar mag. It’s the older model with the stamped slide for Sig fanboys. Single action on this one is amazing, and DA is also quite good. $650 shipped.
- Colt New Service 45 Colt with less common 4.5 inch barrel. Lots to say about this one. The barrel length is what drew me to this one. Let’s just say it has lots of character. But… it shoots! This past Thursday I had it out and was able to make consistent hits on coke cans in double action at 30yds, slow staged DA of course. The sights are spot on for my cast Lee 452-252 SWC over 7gr HP-38. Single action is pretty stiff but crisp. I find it much easier to shoot in DA rather than SA. The bore is pitted but still with plenty rifling as evident by its shootability. Carry up is shy if you cock the hammer slowly on all chambers. Normal brisk cocking action gives full carry up. Of course pulling trigger finishes the carry up. Frame, crane, and side plate all have matching serial number dating to 1904 according to the Colt serial number online lookup. The frame beneath the crane has area of metal removed or scratched to where only partial serial is visible but it matches. The grips are aftermarket wood replacements. The lanyard has been cut. The butt has scratched 468 on either side of the lanyard. The crane fit is loose and you can see gap from the front while moving it. It stays with trigger pull though. Pics show dings and dents on frame and cylinder. The two line address on top of the barrel has been partially removed. Overall who knows what life this old warhorse has lived, but it still has life in it for anyone else who wants to be the new caretaker. $700 shipped. Edited to add the little bit of blue on exterior of the forcing cone is residue from my powder coated bullets.
- 3914DAO 3rd gen 9mm. Don’t run across these everyday. When I called S&W customer service to ask about the ship date, the guy mentioned NYPD. I don’t know that it in fact did go to anyone there but many apparently did for backup or off-duty carry. This one also has quite a bit of wear. Whoever had it before me wasn’t good at removing the slide stop/release, see pics. Comes with three factory 8rd mags. $650 shipped.
